Role overview

Confidential client is hiring a Process Integration Development Engineer to support on‑site TEM metrology and manufacturing process development in Orenco, OR. This is a cross‑functional engineering role focused on transmission electron microscopy (TEM) metrology data generation, automated metrology software development, image‑based dimensional data extraction, and statistical analysis to support process control and yield improvements.


What You’ll Do

  • Generate and analyze TEM metrology data to provide critical dimension measurements for manufacturing process control and yield improvement.
  • Develop and maintain automated metrology software and end‑to‑end data pipelines (front‑end/back‑end) to support high‑volume data collection.
  • Perform image processing and dimensional data mining from TEM images using tools such as Python and OpenCV.
  • Build and optimize BE/FE workflows to improve automated dataflow, throughput, and reliability.
  • Apply statistical analysis, DOE, SPC and structured problem‑solving to identify trends and root causes.
  • Partner closely with tool owners, automation teams, operation technicians, data analysis engineers, and manufacturing process engineers.
  • Communicate technical findings and reliability risks clearly to stakeholders; collaborate proactively to implement improvements.
  • Continuously learn new tools and techniques; contribute to process and automation improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

Relevant experience may come from coursework, research projects, internships, military training, or work experience.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of technical experience, including:
    • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing or experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with statistical analysis, DOE, SPC, or structured problem‑solving methodologies.
    • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to leverage data to identify trends and support engineering decisions.
    • Practical experience using programming and data tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau for engineering/manufacturing data analysis.
  • Ability to work onsite in Orenco, OR and collaborate across teams.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial experience in related technical fields.
  • Experience using Python and OpenCV for image extraction, filtering, and automation pipeline development.
  • Background in machine learning, predictive analytics, computer vision, or AI‑based engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with software development best practices: version control (Git), REST APIs, database design, and cloud‑based applications.
  • Experience building or optimizing front‑end/back‑end systems for automated data processing.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range (US): $89,010.00 - $125,660.00 USD (as listed by the client). Individual pay is determined by work location, skills, experience, and education.
