What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking entry-level Process Engineering support to contribute to the design and engineering of manufacturing facilities, equipment, and critical utility systems for life‑sciences and food & beverage projects. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Support process design activities across studies, conceptual/schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration
  • Perform fundamental engineering calculations (heat transfer, pressure drop, basic sizing)
  • Support process modeling, material & energy balances, and fluid mechanics/hydraulic calculations
  • Develop and maintain engineering deliverables such as equipment lists, general arrangements, and equipment datasheets
  • Coordinate process documentation with other technical disciplines and participate in cross‑discipline project team meetings
  • Support field installation teams and perform construction site observations as needed
  • Work on one or more projects concurrently; escalate complex issues to experienced engineers while following mentor guidance

Minimum Qualifications

  • ABET‑accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Bioprocess Engineering
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam registration or completion preferred
  • Demonstrated coursework or practical experience in process modeling, material & energy balances, fluid mechanics and basic heat transfer
  • Ability to solve engineering problems under supervision and follow technical direction

Skills & Tools

  • Strong verbal and written communication; comfortable coordinating across disciplines
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with process‑modeling and engineering calculation software (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time across multiple tasks

Nice to Have

  • Prior internship or co‑op experience in manufacturing, bioprocessing, or facility engineering
  • Familiarity with piping/equipment general arrangement and datasheet preparation
  • Experience involved with construction site observation or field installation support
