What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Process Engineer to support Plant 5 (Ti‑Cast). You will drive process control, continuous improvement, and product integrity for assigned parts while partnering closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.
- Ensure processes comply with methods, materials and equipment specifications (Corporate Manuals, MSATs, customer specs).
- Use the scientific method and Six Sigma tools to standardize process management and drive process control.
- Author, revise, and approve Activity Instructions, Product Criteria, and Work Instructions for assigned parts.
- Lead root cause determination for deviations from critical process specifications and implement formal reaction plans with escalating help chains.
- Monitor and analyze yield, labor, and material data to develop process improvements for new and existing processes.
- Provide on‑floor manufacturing support: training, interpretation of work instructions, and process troubleshooting.
- Monitor equipment performance and PM completion; collaborate on equipment reliability and minimal diagnostic activities.
- Prepare capital requests, manage costs, and control budgets for department needs.
- Serve as a conduit between manufacturing, engineering and facilities to communicate technology needs and accelerate technology testing/implementation.
- Actively participate in Production and NPI part meetings and develop process parameters.
- Assist with external customer escapes investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
Who You Are / Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States at time of hire (Confidential Client is not able to sponsor visas for this role).
Preferred qualifications:
- Degree in Materials or Metallurgical Engineering preferred.
- 1 year of engineering work experience (Co‑Op or internship experience may count).
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Excel; strong written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis and data‑driven decision making.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and ABS.
- 1–3 years’ experience with AS9100 or AS13100 Quality Management Systems preferred.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to work independently and in teams.
