What You’ll Do

Join a manufacturing engineering team as an Entry-Level Process Engineer supporting production, quality, and continuous-improvement efforts. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and production staff to analyze processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, quality, safety, and throughput
  • Help develop and document standardized processes, work instructions, and SOPs
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Monitor production metrics (cycle time, scrap, downtime) and prepare basic analysis to drive improvements
  • Provide engineering support to production under senior engineer guidance and assist with root-cause investigations
  • Help troubleshoot equipment, tooling, material, and process-flow issues during production and pilot runs
  • Participate in new product introduction (NPI), process validation, and pilot production activities
  • Assist with evaluation of manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production layouts
  • Create and maintain engineering/process documentation, flow diagrams, and reports
  • Support training of production personnel on new or revised processes and work instructions
  • Collaborate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, Purchasing, and external vendors as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics engineering, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to collect and interpret production data
  • Familiarity reading engineering drawings and production documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data tables, basic charts)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and clear written/verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working on the production floor and in a manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to learn and apply continuous-improvement methods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship, co-op, class project, or hands-on experience in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or similar continuous-improvement tools
  • Basic knowledge of root-cause tools (5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa) and basic SPC concepts
  • Experience interpreting CAD drawings or using CAD tools (preferred)
  • Exposure to ERP/MRP systems, process mapping, time studies, or line balancing
  • Familiarity with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, welding, or automation
  • Mandarin/Cantonese language skills are a plus
