What You’ll Do

This entry-level Process Engineer role focuses on learning and applying engineering fundamentals in a manufacturing environment. You will support process optimization, continuous improvement, and hands-on troubleshooting under the guidance of senior engineers and plant leadership.

  • Learn and apply engineering fundamentals to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and waste reduction
  • Support work order improvements and maintain Engineering Master documentation
  • Collect, organize, and analyze production data to identify trends and support root-cause problem solving
  • Support Kaizen events and Lean projects using tools such as 5 Whys and A3 planning
  • Provide hands-on execution and implementation support for equipment, material or process changes
  • Create and update work instructions, process documentation, visual standards, and operator training materials
  • Participate in safety, environmental, and health compliance activities and corrective actions
  • Support and lead continuous improvement projects and A3 projects with defined project plans
  • Develop test/trial plans for evaluating materials and parts; create CAD drawings for new equipment/tooling
  • Assist in developing capital charters and manage implementation of capital projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering
  • 2–4 years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred
  • Foundational engineering knowledge and exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • CAD / SolidWorks experience
  • Exposure to CNC equipment, thermoplastics, thermosets, composites, or related manufacturing processes preferred
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management competency for capital projects
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively on the production floor
  • Team-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
  • OSHA/NOM safety competency in industrial environments preferred
  • English proficiency appropriate for the role

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Full-time, on-site role in Slidell, TX
  • Travel is not required
  • Typical manufacturing floor activities: sitting, standing, walking, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing
  • May occasionally be required to crouch, bend, climb, or lift up to ~25 lbs
