What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Probation and Parole Officer in Chickasha, OK to supervise adult offenders in the community and support public safety by reducing recidivism. This role balances case management, evidence‑based assessment, community referrals, monitoring, and occasional law‑enforcement duties.
- Manage an assigned caseload of adult felons using motivational interviewing and validated risk/need assessment tools
- Develop transition plans and refer offenders to treatment or community programs that target criminogenic needs
- Monitor compliance with court or releasing authority conditions; perform regular contacts and verify employment, housing and program participation
- Prepare clear, timely reports and recommendations for releasing authorities and court appearances when required
- Conduct investigations (pre-sentence, interstate, pre-pardon, pre-parole) and maintain accurate physical and electronic records
- Administer and document substance testing (drug/alcohol screening) and collect ordered payments
- When necessary, assist with security operations, make arrests, and transport offenders in accordance with policy and training
Level & Compensation
This position is posted at multiple levels. Candidates will be considered based on experience and qualifications.
- Level I (entry): $48,044.52 / year
- Level II (career): $50,834.80 / year
- Level III (specialist): $54,700.76 / year
This salary structure is non-negotiable as posted by the client.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
Minimum statutory educational requirements (per Title 57 O.S. §515) apply. Candidates will be placed at a level matching their education and experience.
Level I (entry)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with at least 24 semester hours combined in psychology, sociology, social work, criminology, education, criminal justice administration, penology or police science.
Level II (career)
- Bachelor’s degree (as above) plus two years of correctional experience in social casework involving classification, assessment or field supervision of probationers/parolees/inmates; OR a master’s degree in a listed field may substitute for one year of required experience.
Level III (specialist)
- Bachelor’s degree (as above) plus four years of relevant correctional social casework experience; OR a master’s degree may substitute for one year of required experience.
Required skills and competencies (all levels)
- Knowledge of laws, rules and policies relevant to offender supervision and corrections
- Proficiency with evidence‑based supervision practices and case documentation
- Strong oral and written communication; ability to deliver courtroom testimony
- Ability to establish community partnerships and locate employment resources for offenders
- Familiarity with counseling techniques, motivational interviewing and substance testing procedures
- Ability to manage substantial caseloads and use electronic case management systems
Work Location & Schedule
- Job location: Chickasha, OK (on-site)
- Employment type: Full time (placement level determines duties)

Required Background, Licenses & Screening
- Applicants will be subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
- Candidates must meet peace officer training and qualification requirements described in Oklahoma statute (e.g., Section 3311 of Title 70 / 57 O.S. §515), including any psychological or physical testing required for eligibility to complete basic police training or be certified as a peace officer.
- Disqualifying convictions include certain felonies, sex offender registration offenses, misdemeanor domestic violence convictions (unless pardoned/expunged), or dishonorable military discharge per applicable law.
