What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Probation and Parole Officer to supervise adult offenders in the community, support re-entry, and reduce recidivism. This role manages caseloads, completes assessments, develops transition plans, makes treatment referrals, enforces conditions of release, and documents case activity.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of adult felony offenders using evidence-based practices and motivational interviewing.
- Complete scientific criminogenic risk/need assessments and determine stage-of-change for targeted interventions.
- Develop and monitor transition plans; refer offenders to treatment, employment or community services.
- Conduct pre-sentence, interstate, pre-pardon and pre-parole investigations as needed.
- Prepare accurate reports and recommendations for releasing authorities and court appearances.
- Maintain physical and electronic case records; ensure timely documentation of compliance and violations.
- Monitor financial obligations and collect/document payments ordered by releasing authority.
- Conduct periodic drug and alcohol screening and document results.
- Assist in security operations, arrests, and transports when required.

Required competencies:
- Skillful use of motivational interviewing and client-centered counseling techniques.
- Knowledge of community resources, re-entry services, and evidence-based supervision practices.
- Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and provide courtroom testimony.
- Capacity to use electronic case management systems and other relevant technology.
- Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and ability to work with diverse populations.
Level-specific requirements (Confidential Client maintains multiple levels; hire level based on experience and qualifications):
- Level I (Entry): Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution that includes at least 24 semester hours in psychology, sociology, social work, criminology, education, criminal justice administration, penology or police science.
- Level II (Career): Same degree requirement plus two years of correctional social casework experience involving classification, assessment, or field supervision of probationers, parolees, and/or inmates; OR a master’s degree in a listed field may substitute for one year of the required experience.
- Level III (Specialist): Same degree requirement plus four years of correctional social casework experience involving classification, assessment, or field supervision of probationers, parolees, and/or inmates; OR a master’s degree in a listed field may substitute for one year of the required experience.
Additional expectations:
- Valid driver’s license and willingness/ability to travel for job-related duties.
- Successful completion of drug testing and background checks as required.
- Must meet state peace officer training and certification eligibility (including any required psychological or physical testing).
- Candidates with certain disqualifying convictions (per relevant state statutes) are ineligible; Confidential Client will evaluate eligibility per law.
Compensation & Schedule
- Employment type: Full-time, regular.
- Compensation (tiered, non-negotiable):
- Level I: $48,044.52 per year
- Level II: $50,834.80 per year
- Level III: $54,700.76 per year
- This position is based on-site in Chickasha, OK. (Note: the hiring organization has indicated this role is not eligible for remote work.)
