About the Role

This is an entry-level Print & Color Assistant role supporting the print, color and textile development teams for a confidential client in the Creative & Design industry. The position focuses on coordinating print artwork, maintaining color standards, tracking development milestones and ensuring clear communication across product development, production and vendor partners.


What You’ll Do

  • Organize and maintain print artwork, color standards and seasonal libraries
  • Enter and update print and color data in PLM/Centric and other product systems
  • Track print and color development against the Time & Action calendar
  • Communicate with overseas factories and mills regarding artwork, lab dips and strike-offs
  • Send artwork and production packages to vendors and follow up on approvals
  • Maintain and organize lab dips, strike-offs, color standards and approval records
  • Support CAD team to prepare artwork and production packages
  • Track approvals and provide status updates to Product Development, Textiles and cross-functional partners
  • Identify color/shade inconsistencies and help ensure submissions match approved standards
  • Manage multiple brands/priorities in a fast-paced environment and keep accurate files and records

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textiles, Textile Design or related field preferred; relevant internships/experience considered
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
  • Basic understanding of color theory, prints and textile development
  • Familiarity with lab dips, strike-offs and color terminology preferred
  • Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills are a plus
  • PLM/Centric experience is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and comfortable working cross-functionally
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Role Details

  • Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Overtime Eligible)
  • Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday
  • Location: New York, NY (on-site)
  • Compensation: $29.81 per hour (approximately $62,000 annualized base)
