The Preschool and Childcare Teacher at Confidential Client is responsible for fostering the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children through engaging and developmentally appropriate activities. What You’ll Do
As a Preschool and Childcare Teacher (entry-level) you will support young children’s growth across social-emotional, cognitive, and physical domains by delivering developmentally appropriate experiences in a safe classroom environment. You’ll work closely with colleagues and families to create inclusive routines that promote learning and positive behavior.
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Plan and implement engaging daily activities that support social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Adapt activities to meet individual needs and encourage positive peer interactions
- Provide active supervision and ensure a clean, organized, child-safe classroom
- Communicate regularly with families about children’s progress and daily routines
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training
Who We’re Looking For
We seek candidates who are passionate about early childhood education and eager to grow professionally in a classroom setting.
- Entry-level position suitable for new or early-career educators
- Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Teaching, or related field preferred
- Current First Aid, Adult/Child/Infant CPR, and AED certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Must pass required background checks and TB test; Food Handler Permit required (or ability to obtain)
- 1–2 years experience working with children birth to six years preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with families and team members
- Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed practices
Schedule & Location
- Full-time (40 hours/week), 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- Start/end times vary based on classroom needs and program requirements
- Year-round program operating on a 247-day calendar
- Location: Orem, UT — on-site (this posting is for the Orem, Utah location)
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation varies based on education and credentials:
- CDA or associate degree: $17.00–$17.50 per hour
- Without CDA/associate degree: $15.00–$16.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
