You will work on discrete and module-based power conversion, sensing and monitoring circuits, and related analog circuitry. This role reports to technical leadership and works across mechanical, systems, and ECAD teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, simulate and test power conversion circuitry (non‑isolated topologies such as buck, boost, buck‑boost) for modules and discrete implementations
  • Include thermal considerations in power designs and validate via test
  • Work with ECAD/layout engineers to guide PWB layout for power circuitry and create technical drawings
  • Develop and execute bench test procedures, analyze results, and iterate designs
  • Present technical data and design reviews to program leadership and cross‑functional teams
  • Deliver design work on schedule and follow engineering processes and technical standards

Qualifications You Must Have

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • U.S. citizenship (required) and ability to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required after day 1
  • Experience with low‑level electronic components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, transistors) and ability to design with them
  • Experience with non‑isolated converter topologies (buck, boost, buck‑boost)
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and testing analog circuits (FET, BJT, op‑amp circuits)

Note: Experience may come from coursework, research, projects, or on‑the‑job experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

Strong candidates may have one or more of the following:

  • Lab experience specific to power electronics and control electronics
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation tools (e.g., SIMPLIS, Saber) and analysis tools (e.g., Mathcad)
  • Experience with PCB layout considerations for power electronics
  • Basic understanding of power converter and motor drive control schemes
  • Demonstrated use of electrical CAD or schematic/simulation tools
