What You’ll Do

Portfolio Mgmt Analyst — entry-level role supporting portfolio-level financial analysis for a confidential client in the Accounting & Finance industry. You will help maintain cash‑flow and return projection models, prepare materials for investor reporting and committee presentations, and support data validation and KPI tracking across funds.

• Update and maintain portfolio financial projection models to calculate and project fund-level cash flows and returns
• Monitor fund-level financial performance and flag opportunities or threats
• Prepare materials for quarterly and annual investor reporting, Advisory Committee meetings, webinars, and internal reporting
• Maintain portfolio investment and diversification summaries for Investment Committee review
• Analyze sector, strategy and partner performance and the financial impact of proposed capital events (sales, refinances, etc.)
• Support incorporation of new investments into funds and monitor ongoing asset-level performance
• Help establish fund- and asset-level KPIs and track performance
• Validate historical and new data to support a firmwide data platform implementation
• Use third-party applications (e.g., Yardi, Chatham, Argus) and Excel-based models for data collection and analysis

Qualifications

The confidential client is seeking dependable self-starters with strong analytical skills and a desire to learn.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in real estate, finance, accounting, or related field preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
• Core knowledge of real estate principles, finance, and accounting
• Ability to work with large data sets and manipulate models
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail, organized, and self-directed
• Entry-level role — prior real estate analysis experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

For Illinois applicants: the expected base salary for this position is $90,000. Actual pay may vary based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

In addition to base salary, total compensation may include a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, financial, and wellness programs). Specific benefit details will be provided by the confidential client during the hiring process.
