What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Population Health Data Analyst to support data-driven improvements in clinical quality, operations, and population health programs. You will work with clinical and operational stakeholders to transform data into actionable insight and to help drive better outcomes across the care continuum.
- Analyze clinical and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making.
- Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations (Tableau and other tools).
- Develop and execute data extracts, transformations (ETL), stored procedures, and automated routines for recurring reports.
- Perform statistical analyses and predictive modeling using tools such as Python, R, SAS, or similar.
- Integrate and validate data across multiple systems; ensure data quality and integrity for large datasets.
- Present analysis results and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders through clear visualizations and slide decks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical, quality, IT, operations) to define reporting requirements and implement solutions.
- Support database management activities including table creation, garbage collection, and documentation for reproducible analytics.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Public Health, Operations Research, Computer/Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in business intelligence reporting, data mining, data analysis, or statistical analysis.
- Experience with data mining, data discovery, and/or modeling tools.
- Proficient with SQL and at least one scripting/statistical language (Python, R, or SAS).
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau or equivalent) and strong data exploration/visualization skills.
- Experience maintaining and managing large datasets and ensuring data integrity.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau.
- Prior experience working in a healthcare environment (population health, quality, or clinical operations).
- Demonstrated experience with predictive analytics and end-to-end database management for production reporting.
Location & Work Arrangement
- Primary location: New York, NY. The Confidential Client may offer flexibility including the possibility to work remotely; however, some roles require on-site presence. Candidates should be able to commute to New York, NY as needed or live within a reasonable commuting distance if the role requires on-site work.
- Employment type: Full-time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000–$92,000 per year (posted range).
