What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Plumbing Engineer to support plumbing system design for complex facilities in the life sciences and food & beverage sectors. In this role you will work under the supervision of a project Engineer-of-Record or Lead Plumbing Engineer to develop practical, code-compliant plumbing designs.
- Perform drainage and fixture calculations, utility assessments, and code evaluations
- Prepare drainage and service plans, schedules, installation details, specifications, and design reports
- Use CAD and BIM tools to produce drawings and coordinate with other disciplines
- Assist in studies, conceptual/schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
- Conduct basic field investigations and surveys to integrate design with existing systems
- Coordinate with manufacturers, contractors, architects, and internal team members to ensure constructible designs
- Support senior engineers on engineering calculations and technical deliverables
Minimum Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a Bachelor’s in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical option
- 0–3 years of engineering or design firm experience (entry-level)
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam registration or completion preferred
Preferred Skills & Tools
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit preferred
- Experience performing plumbing sanitary waste drainage, venting, stormwater and service piping design
- Familiarity with plumbing codes and the ability to apply code requirements to practical designs
- Experience conducting field surveys and preparing field reports
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with clients and external partners
- Familiarity with sustainable design standards (LEED, WELL) is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD 72,980 — USD 87,576 per year (provided by source)
