What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Platform Engineer I to support FX trading platforms and related integrations. In this role you’ll work under senior engineering guidance to support production platforms, run testing and validation, troubleshoot incidents, and introduce automation to improve reliability.

• Learn FX trading products, workflows, and business processes to support mission‑critical platforms
• Support Aphelion, WallStreet Systems (WSS), Caplin, and downstream integrations
• Participate in day‑to‑day application support: monitoring, incident response, and escalation
• Assist with functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing; create and execute test plans
• Document test results, validate releases, and collaborate with developers and business users to resolve defects
• Investigate and troubleshoot production incidents; support root cause analysis and document recurring issues
• Use SQL to query, analyze, and reconcile application and business data
• Develop skills with databases, APIs, integrations, and cloud technologies to support platform improvements
• Identify and implement automation for manual processes (scripts, utilities, workflow changes)
• Support automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate troubleshooting, documentation, and development
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and knowledge‑sharing to build strong cross‑team relationships

What We’re Looking For (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or related technical field
• 0–3 years of technology experience in application support, QA, or software engineering
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases for analysis and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with object‑oriented programming concepts
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and organization
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly

Preferred Skills

• Internship or co‑op experience in software development, technology operations, infrastructure, or application support
• Understanding of SDLC concepts and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Exposure to Python, Java, .NET, JavaScript, REST APIs, and Git
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot)
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Interest in financial markets, trading systems, or banking technology

• Employment type: Contract (4 months); may include contractor or full‑time engagement per client needs
