What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring Plant Reliability Electrical Engineers at entry, staff, and senior levels to support safe, reliable operation of power generation assets with a focus on electrical systems. You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, and Projects teams to troubleshoot equipment, support repairs, and execute projects from design through commissioning.
- Use engineering principles, technical standards, and proven methods to diagnose and resolve electrical system issues.
- Support development of technical documentation: designs, testing procedures, calculations, reports, and standards.
- Provide field engineering oversight for commissioning, testing, inspections, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Contribute to project phases including research, equipment selection, procurement support, installation, and commissioning.
- Assist with bid and evaluation activities by performing analyses and preparing supporting technical materials.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.
- Support budgeting, estimating, forecasting, and work order management for assigned projects.
- Mentor interns, drafters, technicians, and less experienced engineers as appropriate.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements vary by level. Candidates must demonstrate technical competency appropriate to the level being considered.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum (electrical engineering preferred).
- Entry level: 0+ years relevant engineering experience; EIT/FE preferred.
- Staff level: 2+ years relevant engineering experience; demonstrated broader proficiency; EIT/FE strongly preferred.
- Senior level: 5+ years relevant engineering experience with EIT/FE required (or 7+ years without); PE registration preferred or may be required depending on business need.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to develop technical documentation, perform calculations, and apply industry standards.
- Ability to work safely in a power generation environment and follow established procedures.
Compensation & Levels
This role is posted across multiple seniority levels. The Confidential Client provides the following base salary ranges by level for candidates located in Colorado:
- Entry Engineer Level: $70,000 - $88,667 per year
- Staff Engineer Level: $81,000 - $106,267 per year
- Senior Engineer Level: $97,000 - $129,267 per year
Anticipated overall base pay range for this posting: $70,000 to $129,267 per year. Exact pay will depend on level, experience, and other lawful factors.
