About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring a Planning Associate to support lead advisors in the Plantation, FL office. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity (partial remote) in a wealth management / financial planning environment. The role requires preparing client-facing planning deliverables, supporting meeting preparation and follow-up, and progressing toward the FINRA Series 65 licensure within the company timeline.
What You’ll Do
- Support Lead Advisors with onboarding, account transfers, and delivering high-quality client service
- Prepare client meeting materials, Investment Policy Statements (IPS), and asset allocation reports
- Track multiple projects and document progress so team members stay informed
- Communicate professionally with clients and third-party advisors (accountants, attorneys) by phone and email
- Attend client meetings to take notes, document action items, and help with follow-up
- Answer phones, assist visitors, and help schedule client meetings as needed
- Prepare for and pass the FINRA Series 65 exam within the company-mandated timeframe
Over time you’ll also
- Conduct in-depth client interviews to collect financial information and define planning goals
- Help develop comprehensive financial plans that address investments, tax, retirement, estate planning, cash flow, education funding, and risk management
- Assist clients with implementing recommended planning strategies
- Review and interpret investment allocation and trading reports
- Collaborate with client service teams to monitor and deliver ongoing service activities
- Travel occasionally when required
Who We’re Looking For
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree
- 0–3 years of financial planning experience preferred or equivalent coursework
- Ability and commitment to obtain FINRA Series 65 within the first 12 months
- Team player who works effectively across levels and pitches in where needed

Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of financial planning concepts and strategies
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000–$85,000 annually (non-exempt)
