What You’ll Do

This role is for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical care focused on chronic pain and interventional pain management across multiple clinic locations in Los Angeles. You will work under physician oversight to evaluate patients, develop and deliver treatment plans, perform office-based procedures after training, and coordinate care with the clinical team.

  • Conduct patient assessments and focused physical exams
  • Obtain and review medical histories and prior diagnostics
  • Diagnose conditions and develop evidence-based treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and non-pharmacologic therapies within licensure and regulations
  • Perform interventional procedures after training (trigger point injections, joint injections, Botox)
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (MRI, X‑ray, EMG/NCV) as indicated
  • Document clinical care accurately in the EHR (Tebra preferred)
  • Ensure accurate billing and coding (CPT) related to services provided
  • Coordinate care across multiple office locations and with referring providers
  • Participate in quality and safety initiatives and other duties that support patient care

Required Qualifications

  • Active medical license in good standing with the State of California (PA or NP license)
  • DEA registration valid in California if prescribing controlled substances
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered, compliant care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level to early clinical experience in outpatient care is acceptable
  • PA or BSN/NP degree (physician assistant studies or nursing degree)
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in interventional pain management procedures
  • Proficiency with electronic health records; experience with Tebra a plus
  • Knowledge of CPT billing practices for outpatient procedures
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
  • Bilingual candidates are a plus

Locations & Travel

This position supports multiple offices. Regular scheduled work will be based in Los Angeles with additional coverage possible in nearby clinics. Travel between sites for training and scheduled coverage is required.

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or last patient)
  • Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (or last patient)
    Schedule may vary by office; some flexibility for set multi-site rotations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated annual pay (market estimate): $125,540 per year (actual pay dependent on experience)
  • Bonus opportunities based on productivity
