Position Overview
Confidential Client seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist - Sports Medicine to deliver pediatric-focused outpatient physical therapy services. This part-time role supports an assigned caseload of children and adolescents, working with interdisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based care, family-centered education, and mentorship-led professional development.
What You’ll Do
- Perform comprehensive examinations and systems reviews to determine appropriate tests and measures.
- Evaluate findings and develop clinical diagnoses for straightforward pediatric cases; consult on complex presentations.
- Create individualized, family-centered plans of care that integrate therapeutic goals into daily life.
- Deliver procedural interventions and therapeutic exercises with mentorship as needed.
- Provide patient and caregiver education tailored to family environment and learning needs.
- Identify needs for adaptive equipment and orthotic resources.
- Use outcome measures to track progress and guide transitions in care.
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation that reflects integrated patient care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, communicating goals and progress to physicians, families, and team members.
- Appropriately delegate tasks to PTAs, aides, and support staff when applicable.
- Contribute to professional development activities (in-services, presentations, journal club).
- Support student learning experiences and may serve as a clinical instructor with mentorship.
- Access and apply evidence-based resources in clinical decision-making and participate in quality initiatives and departmental planning.
Qualifications
Education
- Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy required. Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy accepted for individuals licensed prior to December 31, 2002.
Experience
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Demonstrates entry-level PT skills with a willingness to learn and participate in mentorship programs.
Licenses & Certifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Pennsylvania OR New Jersey upon hire — required.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an organization with hands-on psychomotor verification (e.g., American Heart Association or Red Cross) — required.
Compensation & Schedule
- Salary range (full-time equivalent): $76,100 - $97,000 annually. Pay will be pro-rated for part-time schedules.
- This is a part-time role. Actual offer will depend on skills, experience, and departmental needs.
Location & Additional Requirements
- Location: King of Prussia, PA — in-person clinical responsibilities with interdisciplinary team interactions.
- As a condition of employment for patient-facing roles, employees who work in patient care buildings or have patient-facing responsibilities must receive an annual influenza vaccine.
