What You’ll Do
This position provides pediatric physical therapy services focused on sports medicine care for children and adolescents. You will manage an assigned caseload, deliver evidence-based interventions, and coordinate care across an interdisciplinary team while contributing to education and quality initiatives.
- Perform thorough history and systems review and select appropriate tests and measures.
- Evaluate findings and develop clinical diagnoses for routine pediatric sports medicine cases; seek guidance for complex presentations.
- Create family-centered plans of care that integrate therapy into the child’s lifestyle and environment.
- Deliver procedural interventions and individualized patient/caregiver education; identify needs for adaptive equipment and orthoses.
- Use validated outcome measures to track progress and determine discharge or referral needs.
- Communicate treatment plans and progress with physicians, caregivers, and team members; participate in patient conferences.
- Supervise, delegate, and coordinate care with PTAs, aides, students, and support staff as appropriate.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement, policy development, and evidence-based practice activities.
- Support clinical education by mentoring students and contributing to department training sessions and presentations.
Qualifications
- Education
- Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy required. (Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy accepted for those licensed prior to 12/31/2002.)
- Experience
- Pediatric experience preferred; new graduates with strong pediatric interest and clinical mentorship readiness will be considered.
- Licenses & Certifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Pennsylvania OR New Jersey upon hire (as applicable for the work location) — required.
- Current CPR with hands-on psychomotor skills verification (e.g., American Heart Association or Red Cross) — required.

- Excellent communication and family-centered education skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary pediatric care setting.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $76,100.00 - $97,000.00 annually (full-time).
- Compensation may vary based on experience, licensure, and internal pay practices. Benefits typically include health coverage, retirement options, paid time off, and professional development support — specific benefits depend on the hiring organization.
- Employment may be contingent on verification of licensure, required certifications, background checks, and any job-specific health requirements.
