What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitation and restorative care to patients at a hospital site in Oak Bluffs, MA (Martha’s Vineyard area). This is a contract, full-time position.

• Assess patient functional status and develop individualized plans of care.
• Deliver manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, and functional task training.
• Monitor and document patient progress, revise treatment plans as needed to meet goals.
• Complete billing and documentation (EMR) accurately by end of day.
• Provide education to patients, families, and nursing staff on therapy goals and safe mobility.
• Participate in hospital-wide quality improvement and compliance activities.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) in accordance with organizational policy and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program and current state Physical Therapist license.
• Preferred: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy; new graduates welcome to apply.
• Experience: Internship or 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred but not required.
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Physical Therapist — state license required
  • Driver’s license preferred (for commuter reimbursement eligibility)
• Skills:
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving and case-management skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and relevant accreditation/certification requirements

Compensation & Schedule

• Employment type: Contract — Full time
• Pay range: $90,084.80 — $114,025.60 per year (base pay; final offer considers experience, licensure, and other qualifications)
• Work location: Onsite — One Hospital Road, Oak Bluffs, MA (Martha’s Vineyard)
• New graduates are encouraged to apply. Commuter reimbursement may be available for staff residing off-island.
