Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist to join their rehabilitation team in Newark, NJ. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population (post-operative, chronic pain, sports injuries, neurological conditions). The position offers a salary range of $100,000–$120,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package to support your health, development, and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient function, develop individualized treatment plans, and set measurable rehabilitation goals.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions across a broad caseload, adapting approaches to each patient’s needs.
- Lead and collaborate on interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety, and self-management.
- Document clinical findings and progress accurately and promptly in patient records.
- Participate in quality improvement, departmental operations, and occasional budgetary discussions.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate professional, compassionate customer service.
Who You’ll Work With / Patient Population
You will work with adults and older adults experiencing post-operative recovery, chronic pain, sports-related injuries, and neurological conditions. The role requires the ability to tailor treatment strategies across varying functional levels and to support patients through measurable progress toward their goals.
Qualifications (Required)
- Degree in Physical Therapy (BS, MPT, DPT, or equivalent).
- Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey (active and in good standing).
- Current CPR certification at time of hire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice.
Preferred Experience
- Clinical internships or prior experience in an outpatient rehabilitation or similar setting.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Experience working in team-based care environments and contributing to clinical initiatives.
