Job Summary
The Physical Therapist will provide high-quality physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments to a designated patient panel in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies. This full-time role supports clinical care, patient education, and continuous performance improvement. The position is based in Lawrence, KS.
What You’ll Do
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Deliver physical therapy treatments and modalities consistent with physician orders.
- Monitor and document patient progress; modify treatment plans to meet goals.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety, and recovery expectations.
- Collaborate honestly and proactively with interdisciplinary teams to resolve issues.
- Participate in continuous performance improvement initiatives and embrace changes that enhance patient-centered care.
- Assume additional responsibilities as needed to support team goals.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications
- Entry-level Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Physical Therapist license through the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong communication and patient-education skills.
- Commitment to teamwork, professional development, and compassionate patient care.
