Overview

Confidential client is seeking a motivated and experienced Physical Therapist to join a sports medicine team in a state-of-the-art 17,000 sq ft facility in Lawrence, KS. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based care to a diverse athletic population, using objective testing technology (isokinetic dynamometry, force plate analysis) and participating in an APTA-credentialed Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program. Teaching, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities are available.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and establish individualized plans of care.
  • Deliver interventions and modalities consistent with physician orders and best clinical practices.
  • Assess treatment effectiveness, modify plans to meet goals, and document progress accurately.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers; coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Actively participate in continuous performance improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Support program events, including sideline/event coverage when certified (EMR or ATC) and other community activities.
  • Contribute to teaching, mentorship, journal clubs, and residency program activities as needed.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance and professional conduct.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current license to practice physical therapy issued by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Preferred: experience or interest in sports medicine, residency teaching, and objective performance testing (isokinetic/force plate).
