Position Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services in La Cienga, NM. This full-time role supports patient assessment, individualized treatment planning, discharge planning, clinical program development, and supervision of support staff and students.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for inpatients and outpatients, considering diagnosis- and age-specific needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals in collaboration with patients and families
  • Complete required documentation (initial evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries) in a timely, compliant manner
  • Participate in patient care conferences, family meetings, in-service training, and interdisciplinary rounds
  • Counsel patients and families on evaluations, care plans and home programs; lead and complete discharge planning
  • Supervise and coordinate Physical Therapy and PTA student programs, Rehab Technicians, and Volunteers
  • Assist with orientation of new staff, scheduling to ensure quality patient coverage, and departmental operations
  • Support performance improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental program development
  • Maintain professional relationships with medical staff, physicians, and referral sources
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet patient and department needs

Qualifications

  • Degree required: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or entry-level Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active licensure: Licensed as a Physical Therapist in New Mexico, or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Experience: Entry-level applicants considered; clinical or internship experience is a plus
  • Strong documentation, communication, and patient-education skills
  • Ability to adapt assessment and treatment to age-, cultural-, and population-specific needs
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor students and support staff

Schedule & Compensation

  • Employment type: Full time
  • Typical schedule: 4 days / 10 hours (per source)
  • Estimated pay (source): approximately $87,576 per year (estimated)
  • Employment will be with the Confidential Client; benefits and exact compensation details will be provided by the employer during the hiring process
