Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Physical Therapist (PhysMed Therapy) to provide assessment, individualized treatment planning, and skilled physical therapy care on a PRN / per-diem basis in Judson, TX. This role supports inpatient and outpatient referrals, contributes to department operations, and may include supervision of support staff and student clinicians.
Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for inpatients and outpatients, accounting for diagnosis- and age-specific needs.
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and patient/family participation.
- Documents initial evaluations, daily/weekly progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required clinical records per policies.
- Participates in patient care conferences, family conferences, in-service education, and departmental meetings.
- Provides patient, family, and caregiver education and completes timely discharge planning.
- Assists with coordination and supervision of Physical Therapy and PTA student programs and volunteer programs.
- Aids in orientation of new staff, scheduling to ensure quality coverage, and supervision as needed.
- Supports performance improvement initiatives and helps maintain departmental productivity standards.
- Makes appropriate community referrals and identifies educational opportunities for self and department.
- Demonstrates competence across age-specific and population-specific needs; adapts treatment to physical, cultural, psychological, and developmental differences.
- Fosters professional relationships with medical staff and referral sources.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or entry-level Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Texas Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Familiarity with modalities/equipment used by Physical Therapists per state regulatory guidance.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and patient-education skills.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate student clinicians, PTAs, rehab technicians, and volunteers.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment/post-offer health screening and annual screenings thereafter.
Schedule & Compensation
- Work schedule: PRN / Per Diem (as needed).
- Employment type: Temporary / Per-diem.
- Estimated pay (from source): approximately $55,635 per year (estimated). Actual pay may vary by shift, location, and candidate experience.
