What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is seeking a patient-focused Physical Therapist I to deliver assessment-driven care across primarily outpatient settings with occasional acute-care float coverage. You will evaluate function, develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and supervise support staff where appropriate.

  • Evaluate patient function using formal and informal testing to assess musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status
  • Develop goal-specific treatment plans and submit written plans for physician authorization; update plans of care as patient status changes
  • Provide hands-on and therapeutic interventions to restore or maximize patient function
  • Develop treatment schedules (frequency/duration) and coordinate care with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical support staff
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on diagnosis, prognosis, treatment rationale, and home exercise programs
  • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Physical Therapy Aides, Home Health Aides, and students per regulatory standards
  • Co-sign verbal orders and document patient response and changes in condition per organizational and regulatory requirements
  • Recommend adaptive/supportive equipment and assist patients in securing needed items
  • Complete daily documentation required for billing and compliance
  • Participate in team conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, staff development, student education, and community outreach
  • Promote process improvement and help develop programs as needed
  • Function as case manager for assigned cases and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Demonstrate competency with Microsoft Windows and other digital tools; adhere to OSHA and exposure-control training and use PPE correctly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy — required
  • Current PT credential/licensure (Physical Therapist) — required
  • BLS Certification — highly preferred (obtainable within 1 month of hire)
  • Successful completion of organizational orientation and new-hire competency — required
  • Fingerprinting required; employer covers cost — required
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Entry-level candidates welcome (less than 1 year experience acceptable)

  • Base salary range: $72,800 – $93,600 per year
