Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Physical Security Systems Analyst to support enterprise physical security technology, records, reporting, and administrative operations. This is a contract, W-2 opportunity based in Columbus, OH with a hybrid schedule (onsite Tuesday–Thursday; remote Monday and Friday). The role is well suited for recent graduates or early-career professionals interested in physical security, corporate security operations, compliance, or security systems support.

Key logistics:

  • Rate: $30–$35 / hour
  • Contract term: September 1, 2026 – August 31, 2027 (strong possibility of extension)
  • Employment type: W-2 (no 1099)
  • Work schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 1-hour lunch
  • Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update physical security records, inventories, and tracking systems.
  • Perform data entry, data validation, and quality assurance checks to ensure data accuracy.
  • Support badge access reviews, compliance audits, and audit-readiness documentation.
  • Assist with SharePoint site administration and document management.
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc reports, metrics, and dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Track project action items, maintain issue logs, and coordinate follow-ups across stakeholders.
  • Support inventory and asset tracking for physical security technologies.
  • Help identify data discrepancies and support corrective actions and process improvements.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Update security databases, trackers, and records to keep information audit-ready.
  • Run Excel-based reports, create charts/trackers, and prepare summaries for stakeholders.
  • Upload, organize, and control versioning for security documentation in SharePoint.
  • Help prepare and maintain access review documentation and supporting evidence.
  • Monitor open items, follow-ups, and status updates for ongoing initiatives.
  • Communicate with internal teams (Physical Security Technology, Corporate Security, Facilities, Compliance, Operations) to confirm updates and resolve issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience (entry-level).
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving capability.
  • Reliable, professional, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work onsite Tuesday–Thursday in Columbus, OH.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with SharePoint administration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI or Power Automate.
  • Experience working with large data sets, reporting, or dashboards.
  • Exposure to audits, compliance programs, records management, or access reviews.
  • Internship experience in corporate security, compliance, facilities, data analytics, or related operations.
  • Interest in building a career in physical security, security technology, or corporate security operations.
