Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Pharmaceutical R&D Scientist I / Chemistry Lab Technician to support research & development for generic pharmaceutical products. This is a Contract-to-Hire, fully onsite opportunity based in Grandview Heights, OH. The role provides hands-on lab experience with analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC), wet chemistry testing, and method validation in a regulated cGxP environment.

What You’ll Do

This role performs analytical and bench testing to support product development and regulatory programs.

• Prepare samples, standards, and dilutions for analytical testing of pharmaceutical materials
• Perform wet chemistry analyses (titrations, pH, viscosity)
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, NGI, and Gas Chromatography (GC)
• Execute testing for product development, lot release, method validation, and regulatory submissions
• Accurately document laboratory activities and results in compliance with cGxP requirements
• Analyze data using laboratory software and prepare test results for reporting
• Assist with troubleshooting analytical methods and resolving technical issues
• Support method validation and method transfer under mentorship from senior scientists
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and timelines
• Manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced lab while maintaining quality and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field
• Candidates with other scientific degrees will be considered if they have chemistry-focused laboratory research or industry experience
• Hands-on experience or coursework with wet chemistry techniques preferred
• Familiarity with HPLC, GC, or other analytical instrumentation is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and regulatory documentation practices (cGxP)
• Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Grandview Heights, OH

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay rate: $24.00 per hour (Contract-to-Hire)

• Individual compensation within the posted range will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors
