Position Overview

This field-based, entry-level role is for a Pharmaceutical Field Sales Representative located in City of Wilkes Barre, PA. The Confidential Client is building a nationwide field team to increase awareness of high/at‑risk patients for COVID‑19 among healthcare providers (HCPs), urgent cares, and retail pharmacies. This role reports to the Area Business Manager and focuses on territory engagement, education, and relationship building.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide P1 support to physicians about COVID‑19 risk factors, disease progression, and treatment options.
  • Educate identified HCP targets to improve customer preparedness for identifying high‑risk patients.
  • Build and maintain relationships through regular calls and field contact as defined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Coordinate closely with customer‑facing colleagues to align goals and channel efforts.
  • Analyze customer interactions and market data to prioritize opportunities and tailor call plans.
  • Execute strategic call plans to meet and exceed territory goals.
  • Guide retail pharmacy customer interactions at the local level to support outreach efforts.
  • Use approved promotional materials and share information on authorized support resources.
  • Complete all call reporting, inventory recording, and compliance training within required timelines.
  • Participate in required sales conferences and trainings and maintain certifications during off‑territory hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities & Examples

  • HCP engagement: probe, answer clinical and operational questions (e.g., drug interactions, supply sources, patient eligibility).
  • Maintain an expert understanding of product context, patient education, and market dynamics.
  • Tailor sales messages to known customer needs and use effective interaction techniques (pre‑call planning, productive questioning, call summary).
  • Collaborate across colleagues and channels to develop and implement targeted account strategies.
  • Balance field activity with study and certification time to remain knowledgeable and compliant.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in one or more of:
    • Pharmaceutical sales
    • Medical / medical device sales
    • Professional sales or promotional activity
    • Small business ownership, marketing, customer service, or account management
    • Relevant healthcare/scientific roles (e.g., RN, Pharmacist, PT, OT)
    • Educator roles (e.g., teacher, principal)
    • Full‑time military service
  • Must live within 25 miles of the border of the assigned territory.
  • Urgent care setting experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required by the role.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record that meets company standards.
  • Strong communication, territory management, and relationship‑building skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range: $52,000 – $96,000 per year (final offer based on experience, skills, internal equity, and business needs).
