What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Personal Financial Planner to join their team in New York, NY. In this role you will learn core wealth-management fundamentals while working directly with clients to build financial plans that support long-term goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for new clients by proactively identifying and engaging prospects
- Gather and analyze clients’ financial information (cash flow, assets, liabilities, retirement plans, goals)
- Build customized financial plans and recommend investment, insurance, and savings strategies
- Present clear, client-focused advice and explain recommendations in accessible terms
- Track client progress, update plans as circumstances change, and coordinate with senior advisors
- Pursue professional development (training, mentorship) and work toward required licenses (FINRA Series exams)
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $90,000 – $100,000 per year (as listed by the Confidential Client)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field required
- Strong math, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Interest in financial services, wealth management, and client advising
- Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel, CRM systems, or financial planning software preferred
- FINRA Series 7 and 63/66 preferred but not required; support provided for licensing preparation
- Coachable, organized, and client-focused with a willingness to learn and adapt
