Location & Eligibility
This position is based in Bismarck, ND. Due to licensing and operational requirements, we can only consider candidates who currently reside in one of the following regions: Minnesota (MN), North Dakota (ND), western Wisconsin, northern Iowa, or South Dakota (SD). Remote work is possible after training and required licensing; there are no long‑term territory restrictions and advisors can serve clients nationwide once fully onboarded.
Compensation
- First‑year average: $80,000 – $105,000 (reported first‑year average)
- Estimated annual (advertised): ~$51,104 (market estimate shown on source listing)
- Pay structure and additional incentives will be discussed during interview and dependent on experience, licensing, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with new and existing clients to support long‑term financial goals
- Gather and analyze client financial information (cash flow, assets, liabilities, goals, retirement plans)
- Create customized financial plans and investment recommendations tailored to each client’s life stage
- Provide ongoing client coaching and support to help clients implement and follow their plans
- Grow your client base through networking, referrals, and community outreach
- Participate in training, licensing, and professional development programs
What You’ll Do
- Learn to assess financial needs and develop personalized plans
- Receive ongoing mentorship and support from experienced advisors
- Use modern CRM, financial planning software, and other technology to manage accounts
- Serve clients in your region and, as you get licensed, nationwide
- Develop a book of business through networking, referrals, and direct outreach
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (business administration, finance, or related field)
- Working knowledge of financial products and the financial services industry is important
- Strong quantitative aptitude, communication, and relationship‑building skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel, CRM systems, Google Suite, or financial planning software is desirable
- FINRA Series 7 and 63/66 licenses are a plus but not required (support available for licensing)
- Self‑starter mentality, coachable, and committed to client service
