Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Personal Banker (SAFE Act) to support branch sales and client service in Yorba Linda, CA. This is an entry-level/full-time role focused on building customer relationships, supporting small business credit requests under $250K, cross-selling retail and small business products, and delivering an outstanding branch experience. Bilingual Mandarin candidates are preferred. NMLS SAFE Act compliance/registration is required.
What You’ll Do
- Work with small business credit requests under $250,000 and refer larger opportunities to lending teams
- Cross-sell treasury, deposit, and other small business products to deepen client relationships
- Build referral opportunities via Centers of Influence (COIs) and Member Get Member programs
- Acquire new consumer and small business relationships through inbound/outbound outreach and excellent client service
- Coach and support tellers and branch staff on products, programs, and client needs to create appropriate referrals
- Educate clients on transaction options, digital channels, and product solutions; leverage digital tools and marketing to uncover opportunities
- Follow internal policies, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and escalate control or compliance issues appropriately
Qualifications
- 0–2 years relevant experience; prior retail banking, branch sales, or customer-service roles preferred
- NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance required
- Comfortable with sales targets and cross-selling in a branch environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build rapport with diverse clients
- Familiarity with digital banking tools and Smart Banking technologies is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Compensation & Location
- Primary location: Yorba Linda, CA (onsite / branch-based)
- Salary range (full-time): $58,190 — $81,210 per year (range provided by employer)
- Additional compensation: eligible incentive/bonus programs and benefits may apply per employer policy
