What You’ll Do
The Personal Banker (SAFE Act) is an entry-level role supporting branch sales and client service activities. You’ll help build and deepen customer relationships, identify client needs, and recommend appropriate banking products and services while following SAFE Act and NMLS requirements.
- Work with small-business credit requests under $250K and refer larger lending opportunities to specialists
- Cross-sell treasury, deposit, and related small-business products
- Drive referral development through Centers of Influence (COIs) and member referral programs
- Conduct outbound and inbound client calls to acquire new relationships and deepen existing ones
- Coach and advise tellers and branch staff on product features, promotions, and client referrals
- Educate clients about digital and branch channels and use available tools to uncover sales opportunities
- Follow the confidential client’s policies, procedures and compliance requirements; escalate control issues as needed
Qualifications
- 0–2 years relevant experience; previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred
- NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance required
- Familiarity with Smart Banking tools and digital channels
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Primary location: Santa Monica, CA
- Salary range (Full-time): $58,190 — $81,210 per year
- In addition to base pay, eligible employees may be considered for incentive or retention awards and standard benefits such as medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and disability insurance. Specific offerings vary by jurisdiction and hire date.
