What You’ll Do

The Personal Banker (SAFE Act) supports branch sales and client service activities to grow and deepen customer relationships. This is an entry-level, client-facing role that combines sales, advice, and operational responsibilities in a branch environment.

• Work with consumer and small business credit requests under $250,000; identify and refer larger lending opportunities.
• Cross-sell deposit, treasury, and related small business products to deepen client relationships.
• Build referral pipelines through Centers of Influence (COIs) and member-get-member (MGM) programs.
• Conduct outbound and inbound client outreach to acquire new relationships and expand existing relationships.
• Coach and guide tellers and branch staff on product features, special programs, and appropriate client referrals.
• Educate clients on service and digital channels; leverage marketing and technology tools to uncover opportunities and present product offers and financial solutions.
• Follow policies, controls, and compliance practices; appropriately assess risk and escalate issues with transparency.
• Maintain SAFE Act compliance and NMLS registration where required.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience; previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of digital banking tools and branch technologies.
• NMLS registration / SAFE Act compliance required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust quickly.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Primary salary range (full-time): $50,600 - $70,600 per year.
• In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
• Benefits may include medical, dental & vision coverage; 401(k); life, accident, and disability insurance; paid time off; and other wellness programs. Benefit availability may vary by jurisdiction and hire date.
