What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Personal Banker (SAFE Act) to join a branch team in Syosset, NY. In this role you’ll help deliver excellent customer service, grow relationships, and support branch sales goals while ensuring SAFE Act compliance and NMLS registration requirements are met.
- Work with consumer and small-business clients to identify needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Support business credit requests under $250K and escalate larger lending opportunities to appropriate teams.
- Cross-sell treasury, deposit, and other small business products to deepen client relationships.
- Build referral pipelines through Centers of Influence (COIs) and member referral programs.
- Deliver outbound and inbound client outreach to acquire new relationships and deepen existing ones.
- Coach and support tellers and branch staff on products, promotions, and referral processes.
- Educate clients on digital and self-service channels; leverage technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities.
- Follow all policies, controls and regulatory requirements; escalate and report control issues transparently.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years relevant experience; banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
- NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance required.
- Familiarity with modern banking tools and digital channels (Smart Banking tools).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused, with proven ability to identify client needs and cross-sell solutions.
- Demonstrated sound judgment, adherence to policy, and commitment to compliance and risk management.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Primary location full-time salary range: $61,280.00 - $85,520.00 (Syosset, NY).
- In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
