Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Personal Banker (SAFE Act) — Bilingual English/Spanish — to join a branch serving the University of Chicago area. This entry-level role focuses on delivering exceptional client service, building relationships, and driving product adoption through consultative selling and cross-sell activities. The role requires SAFE Act / NMLS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work with small business credit requests under $250,000; identify and refer larger lending opportunities and cross-sell treasury and other small-business products.
• Generate referral opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and Member Get Member (MGM) programs.
• Support growth strategies for small-business clients and execute targeted sales plans for assigned Book of Business customers.
• Perform inbound and outbound client outreach to acquire new relationships and deepen existing ones via cross-sell of relevant products and services.
• Coach and advise Tellers and branch staff on products, special programs, and referral best practices.
• Identify transaction and service needs; educate clients on self-service and digital channels; use available technology and marketing tools to surface opportunities and present financial solutions.
• Understand and follow Confidential Client policies, procedures, and compliance expectations.
• Apply sound risk judgment and ethical behavior to protect Confidential Client, its clients, and assets; escalate control issues transparently.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience; previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and digital channels.
• NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer-focused approach.
• Proven ability to meet sales goals and deliver excellent client experiences.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range (full-time): $54,100 - $75,500 per year.
• In addition to base salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary or formulaic incentives and retention awards.
