What You’ll Do
The Personal Banker (SAFE Act) provides high-quality service to branch customers while supporting sales and small-business banking efforts. You will help grow relationships, identify client needs, and support branch operations to deliver an excellent client experience.
- Serve customers via in-branch interactions, inbound and outbound calls, and digital channels.
- Assist with business credit requests under $250K; identify and refer larger lending opportunities.
- Cross-sell small business and treasury products and other relevant financial solutions.
- Build referral pipelines through Centers of Influence (COIs) and member-get-member programs.
- Support branch staff (including Tellers) with coaching on products, promotions, and referral processes.
- Use digital and marketing tools to uncover client opportunities and present product offers.
- Follow internal policies, compliance requirements, and risk-management practices to protect the firm, clients, and assets.
What We’re Looking For
- 0–2 years of relevant experience; banking, retail, or sales experience preferred
- Knowledge of smart banking tools and digital channels
- NMLS registration / SAFE Act compliance (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a branch environment
- Sound ethical judgment and adherence to compliance and internal policies
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Prior experience in branch sales, teller roles, or retail sales is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Primary location: Pelham, NY
- Visible salary range (full-time): $61,280 — $85,520 per year
- Estimated market salary shown on source: ~$90,952 per year
- In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive discretionary/formulaic incentive and retention awards
