What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Personal Banker (SAFE Act) to join a branch team in Manhattan, NY. This entry-level branch sales role focuses on delivering excellent client service, growing customer relationships, and supporting small-business and consumer banking efforts while maintaining Safe Act and NMLS compliance.

• Serve as a primary client contact to build loyalty and grow relationships through inbound and outbound service and sales outreach.
• Work on business credit requests under $250K and refer larger lending opportunities to commercial teams.
• Cross-sell deposit, treasury, and small-business banking products and digital services to deepen customer relationships.
• Build referral opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and Member-Get-Member programs; support local marketing and lead-generation initiatives.
• Coach and support tellers and branch staff on product offerings, special programs, and service escalation.
• Recognize client transaction and channel needs, educate on digital channels, and use available technology and marketing tools to present financial solutions.
• Follow policies and procedures, assess risk appropriately, and escalate control or compliance issues transparently.

Who We’re Looking For

This role is ideal for early-career candidates with customer-facing experience and an interest in financial services sales.

• 0–2 years of relevant experience; prior banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
• NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance (or ability to become compliant) required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated customer-service orientation.
• Familiarity with Smart Banking tools, digital channels, and basic small-business banking concepts.
• Demonstrated ethical judgment and ability to follow regulatory and internal policy requirements.

Education, Compensation & Benefits

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Primary salary range (full time): $61,280 — $85,520 per year.
• In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentives and retention awards.
• Benefits may include medical, dental & vision coverage, 401(k), life/accident/disability insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Available offerings may vary by jurisdiction and date of hire.
