Role Overview

This entry-level Personal Banker (SAFE Act) role supports branch sales and service activities for a confidential client in the Financial Services (Retail Banking) industry. You will build customer relationships, support small business credit requests under $250K, cross-sell relevant banking products, and help drive exceptional client experiences at the Los Gatos, CA branch.

  • Salary range (Primary Location, full-time): $61,280 – $85,520 per year

What You’ll Do

  • Work with business credit requests under $250,000 and refer larger lending opportunities to appropriate channels
  • Cross-sell small business and consumer banking products, including treasury services where applicable
  • Acquire new relationships and deepen existing ones via inbound and outbound client outreach
  • Build referral pipelines through Centers of Influence (COIs) and member referral programs
  • Coach and guide teller and branch staff on products, promotions, and identifying client needs
  • Educate clients on digital and branch channels and use available technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities
  • Follow client onboarding and documentation practices, including SAFE Act/NMLS requirements
  • Follow all policies, procedures and compliance standards; escalate and report control issues transparently

Who We’re Looking For

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience; previous banking, retail or sales experience is a plus
  • NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance (or willingness to obtain/maintain registration as required)
  • Strong customer service and client relationship skills
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with digital banking tools and ability to educate clients on channels and services
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to meet any background check or regulatory requirements for banking roles

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $61,280 – $85,520 per year (Primary Location, full-time)
  • Eligible employees may also receive discretionary or formulaic incentive and retention awards

Location & Work Type

  • This role is based in-branch in Los Gatos, CA and requires regular on-site presence for branch coverage, client meetings and daily operations.
  • Telecommuting is not the primary job location type for this role.
