Role Overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an entry-level Personal Banker (SAFE Act) to join a branch team in Granada Hills, CA. This branch-facing role focuses on building customer relationships, supporting sales activity, and cross-selling deposit, lending and small-business products while delivering an excellent client experience.
What You’ll Do
- Work with business credit requests under $250,000 and refer larger lending opportunities
- Cross-sell treasury and related small-business products to grow client relationships
- Build referral pipelines through Centers of Influence (COIs) and Member-Get-Member (MGM) activity
- Execute sales plans targeting book-of-business customers and small-business clients
- Conduct outbound and inbound client calls to acquire and deepen relationships
- Coach tellers and branch staff on products, special programs and appropriate referrals
- Educate clients on service and digital channels; leverage technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities
- Present product offers and financial solutions while maintaining exceptional client service
- Follow internal policies and regulatory requirements; appropriately assess and escalate risk and control issues
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (banking, retail, or sales experience preferred)
- NMLS registration; SAFE Act compliant
- Knowledge of digital/smart banking tools and branch technology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Demonstrated ethical judgment and commitment to compliance and risk management
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (Primary location, Full-Time): $58,190 — $81,210 per year
- In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards
