About the Role

The Personal Banker (SAFE Act) is an entry-level branch role focused on delivering exceptional customer service while supporting branch sales and small-business relationship growth. You will work directly with consumers and small business clients, identify needs, refer lending opportunities, cross-sell digital and treasury products, and support branch staff in delivering a consistent client experience. This is a full-time, in-branch position based in Flatbush / Brooklyn, NY.

What You’ll Do

• Work with business credit requests under $250,000 and identify/refer larger lending opportunities.
• Cross-sell treasury, deposit, and related small-business banking products.
• Build referral sources through Centers of Influence (COIs) and Member-Get-Member (MGM) programs.
• Help implement sales strategies to grow small-business and consumer Book of Business customers.
• Deliver inbound and outbound client service and sales calls to acquire new relationships and deepen existing ones.
• Coach and guide Tellers and branch staff on product features, special programs, and appropriate client referrals.
• Identify client transaction needs and educate clients on service and digital channels to improve engagement.
• Use available technology and marketing tools to uncover product opportunities and present financial solutions.
• Comply with applicable policies, laws, and controls; assess and escalate risk and control issues appropriately.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience; prior banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of digital/smart banking tools and branch technologies.
• NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance as required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-focused with the ability to identify sales opportunities while providing a high-quality client experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range (primary location, full-time): $61,280.00 - $85,520.00 per year.
• Additional compensation: eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
