Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Personal Banker (SAFE Act) to join their branch team in Albertson, NY. This full-time role focuses on building and deepening customer relationships, supporting small business credit requests under $250K, cross-selling retail and treasury products, and delivering an outstanding client experience. This posting includes a salary range to comply with New York pay-transparency requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Work with small business credit requests under $250,000 and recognize/refer larger lending opportunities
• Cross-sell treasury, retail, and related small business products to deepen relationships
• Build referral opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and Member Get Member (MGM) programs
• Support outbound and inbound client outreach to acquire and deepen relationships through relevant product offers
• Coach and guide tellers and branch staff on product features, promotions, and client referrals
• Educate clients on service and digital channels, and leverage technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities
• Follow Confidential Client policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; escalate and report control issues transparently
• Apply sound ethical judgment and appropriately assess risk in business decisions

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience (banking, retail, or sales experience preferred)
• NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance required
• Familiarity with Smart Banking tools and digital channels
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Customer-focused with the ability to identify client needs and recommend solutions
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Primary location full-time salary range: $61,280 — $85,520 per year (posted to meet New York state transparency expectations)
• In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive discretionary or formulaic incentive and retention awards
• Benefits may include medical, dental & vision coverage; 401(k); life, accident & disability insurance; paid time off and holidays; and wellness programs. Offerings can vary by jurisdiction, job level, and hire date.
