What You’ll Do
This entry-level Personal Banker role supports branch sales and client service activities with a focus on building and deepening consumer and small-business relationships.
- Work with small-business credit requests (< $250,000) and refer larger lending opportunities to specialists
- Cross-sell treasury and small-business products to expand client relationships
- Grow referral pipelines through Centers of Influence (COIs) and member referral programs
- Execute outbound and inbound client outreach to acquire new customers and deepen existing relationships
- Coach and support teller and branch staff on product features, special programs, and client referral opportunities
- Identify client transaction and service needs; educate customers on digital channels and available tools
- Present relevant product offers and financial solutions while delivering excellent client experiences
- Follow client-facing policies, standards and procedures; escalate and report control issues as required
- Apply sound ethical judgment and assess risk with attention to safeguarding the firm, its clients, and assets
Qualifications
- 0–2 years relevant experience; previous banking, retail or sales experience preferred
- Knowledge of digital/smart banking tools and technologies
- NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time salary range (primary location): $61,280 — $85,520 per year
- In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive incentive and retention awards. Benefits may include medical, dental & vision, 401(k), life/disability coverage, wellness programs, and paid time off. Offerings vary by jurisdiction and job level.
Working Environment & Location
This position is based in Ny State Campus, NY. This is a branch-based role with customer-facing responsibilities during standard branch hours. Local/state requirements (licensure, registrations) apply.
