Role Overview

Personal Banker (SAFE Act / NMLS) — Mount Kisco, NY. This is an entry-level branch sales role focused on building and deepening consumer and small business relationships, cross-selling banking products, and delivering exceptional client service. The confidential client seeks candidates who are SAFE Act compliant and NMLS registered or able to register.


What You’ll Do

  • Work with business credit requests under $250K; refer larger lending opportunities and cross-sell treasury and small-business products
  • Build referral sources through Centers of Influence (COIs) and Member Get Member (MGM) programs
  • Support growth strategies for small business clients and execute targeted sales plans for your book of business
  • Acquire and deepen client relationships via outbound and inbound calls and in-branch interactions
  • Coach and support tellers and branch staff on product features, special programs, and appropriate client referrals
  • Identify client transaction needs and educate customers on service and digital channels
  • Use available technology and marketing tools to uncover sales opportunities and present tailored financial solutions
  • Comply with policies, standards, and procedures; assess and escalate risk or control issues appropriately
  • Maintain professional and ethical conduct while safeguarding client and firm assets

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years relevant experience (entry-level)
  • Previous experience in banking, retail, or sales is preferred
  • Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and digital channels
  • NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance required (or ability to register promptly)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-focused with a sales mindset and attention to compliance and risk controls

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Primary location full-time salary range: $61,280 — $85,520 per year (pay transparency provided)
  • Eligible employees may also receive discretionary and formulaic incentives and retention awards
  • Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k); life, accident, and disability insurance; wellness programs; and paid time off. Benefits vary by jurisdiction and hire date.
