What You’ll Do

The Personal Banker (SAFE Act) is an entry-level branch role focused on building relationships, delivering excellent client service, and supporting branch sales goals. You’ll work with customers to identify needs, present products and services, and support small-business and consumer banking growth.

• Work with business credit requests under $250,000; identify and refer larger lending opportunities and cross-sell treasury and small-business products.
• Build referral sources through Centers of Influence (COIs) and Member-Get-Member (MGM) programs.
• Execute outbound and inbound client outreach to acquire new relationships and deepen existing ones through targeted cross-selling.
• Coach and support tellers and branch staff on product features, special programs, and referral opportunities.
• Educate clients on service and digital channels; leverage technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities and present appropriate financial solutions.
• Maintain strong documentation, follow-up, and use CRM tools to track pipeline and client interactions.
• Adhere to all compliance, risk, and anti-fraud policies when making business decisions.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience; retail banking, sales, or customer-service experience preferred.
• NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance required.
• Familiarity with digital/Smart Banking tools and CRM systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; customer-focused and consultative selling approach.
• Ability to assess risk and escalate issues appropriately.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation & Benefits

• Primary location (New York, NY) full-time salary range: $61,280 — $85,520 per year.
• In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive/retention awards.
• Typical benefits may include medical, dental & vision coverage, 401(k), life/accident/disability insurance, wellness programs, and paid time off. Available offerings may vary by jurisdiction and hire date.
• This role is classified as Full-time.
