Position overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Personal Banker (SAFE Act) to join a branch team in Lake Mohegan, NY. This role focuses on delivering excellent client service, supporting day-to-day branch operations, and growing consumer and small-business relationships through sales and product referrals. NMLS / SAFE Act registration required.
What You’ll Do
- Work business credit requests under $250K; recognize and refer larger lending needs and cross-sell treasury and related small-business products.
- Build referral opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and Member‑Get‑Member (MGM) programs.
- Support growth strategies for small-business clients and implement sales plans for your book of business.
- Deliver exceptional client service via inbound/outbound calls and in-branch interactions to acquire new and deepen existing relationships.
- Coach and guide tellers and other branch staff on products, programs, and referral processes.
- Identify client transaction needs, educate clients on digital and service channels, and leverage technology and marketing tools to present product solutions.
- Follow Confidential Client policies, standards and procedures; assess and escalate risk and control issues appropriately.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations and demonstrate strong ethical judgment.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years relevant experience.
- Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
- Knowledge of smart banking tools and digital channels.
- NMLS registration; SAFE Act compliant.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused with proven ability to cross-sell and build relationships.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time salary range (base): $61,280 — $85,520 per year.
- In addition to base salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
- Benefits may include medical, dental & vision, 401(k), life/accident/disability insurance, wellness programs, paid time off, and paid holidays. Available offerings may vary by jurisdiction and date of hire.
