What You’ll Do

The Performance Analyst (entry level) will support portfolio and performance reporting for client accounts. This is a hands-on role that teaches investment performance measurement, reconciliation, and client reporting across multiple asset classes.

• Utilize custodian bank downloads and data files to feed the firm’s performance measurement system.
• Process and reconcile a proprietary database of client statements monthly to produce accurate performance calculations.
• Maintain monthly cash flows and reconcile monthly valuations, transactions, fees, and returns for 25–30 assigned client accounts (marketable and non-marketable investments).
• Calculate portfolio characteristics and metrics for client reports covering equity, fixed income, hedge funds, and real assets.
• Validate data integrity, research discrepancies, and communicate findings to investment teams.
• Prepare charts and client-ready materials in Excel and PowerPoint to support reporting and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; finance, accounting, economics, or other business-related fields strongly preferred.
• Entry-level / early-career candidates welcome; prior internship or coursework in finance is a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills — comfortable with financial functions, pivot tables, and charting.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint to create polished client reports and presentations.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numerical datasets.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Must be currently located within commuting distance of Portsmouth, NH (role includes an in-office anchor day each week).

This is a full-time position based in Portsmouth, NH. The role offers hybrid flexibility — work-from-home up to two days per week with a required in-office anchor day to support team collaboration. Applicants should be within commuting distance of the Portsmouth office.
