What You’ll Do

This entry-level Performance Analyst role is an introductory position into the investment industry with clear paths for career growth. You will support investment teams by calculating, reconciling, and reporting investment performance for client portfolios.

• Learn and apply investment concepts to select appropriate benchmarks and peer universe comparisons.
• Ingest custodian bank downloads and other data files into proprietary performance measurement systems.
• Use a proprietary database of client statements to complete monthly performance calculations.
• Maintain monthly cash flows for 25–30 assigned client accounts, reconciling valuations, transactions, fees, and returns for marketable and nonmarketable assets.
• Calculate portfolio characteristics across asset classes (equity, fixed income, hedge funds, real assets) for client reports.
• Review client meeting notes and ensure all follow-up items are completed.
• Produce accurate monthly executive summaries and timely quarterly reports for client relationships.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree required; Finance or other business-related majors strongly preferred.
• Prior certification, progress toward, or willingness to pursue CFA or CAIA is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistent adherence to deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Team-player mindset with effective time-management and multitasking skills.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (financial functions, charting, and reporting).

Location & Work Model

This position is based in Portsmouth, NH. Candidates should be located within commuting distance of the Portsmouth office. The role offers a hybrid work model: up to two days per week remote with a weekly anchor day in the office to support collaboration.

Compensation

• Base salary range: $56,900 - $69,700 per year (grade level 4). Placement within the range will reflect skills, experience, and internal equity.
• Bonus-eligible: positions are eligible for discretionary bonus opportunities.
