Role summary
The Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level People (HR) Specialist — University to support People operations across Supply Chain, Commercial, and Corporate teams. This is a hands-on, development-focused HR role where you’ll support recruiting, onboarding, talent development, HR data & insights, and process improvements. This position is full-time based in Wellston, MO. Compensation includes $80,000 annually plus a signing bonus (as listed by the source).
What you’ll do
- Partner with People leaders and business stakeholders to support day-to-day people needs and execute practical solutions that improve team performance.
- Support talent and employee experience initiatives including recruiting, onboarding, learning/talent development, and engagement.
- Analyze workforce, talent, organizational, and operational data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to People and business leaders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects: produce reports, presentations, and process changes that simplify ways of working.
- Support cross-functional People projects and help implement scalable HR processes.
What we’re looking for (minimum qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree required. Current university students or recent graduates with GPA ≥ 3.0 are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated leadership through internships, work experience, campus involvement, or extracurriculars.
- Comfortable working autonomously, managing multiple priorities, and adapting in a fast-changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills: active listening, relationship building, and ability to influence across levels.
- Analytical mindset: uses data and curiosity to solve problems and improve processes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Willingness for geographical and functional mobility; open to relocation and rotations across U.S. locations over time.
Preferred background (not required)
- Academic or practical interest in Human Resources, Labor/Industrial Relations, Talent Acquisition, or related fields.
- Prior HR internships, campus HR roles, or HR-related project experience.
