What You’ll Do

This entry-level information security role provides hands-on support for security operations and vulnerability management under close supervision. You will assist senior security teammates to protect systems and data while learning core security tools and processes.

• Assist with monitoring security alerts and logs using established SIEM and monitoring tools
• Support routine vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking workflows
• Maintain and update security documentation, procedures, and access records
• Assist with user access provisioning and deprovisioning under guidance
• Escalate potential security incidents or anomalies to senior security staff promptly
• Follow security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements in daily tasks

Qualifications

Required (minimum)

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or relevant work experience
• 0–2 years of experience in information technology, security, or related technical roles
• Basic understanding of information security concepts and best practices (confidentiality, integrity, availability)
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced security environment

Preferred

• Experience with SIEM, EDR, IAM, or vulnerability management tools (or coursework/hands-on labs)
• Professional security certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GSEC) or actively pursuing certifications
• Good communication skills and ability to escalate issues clearly to senior team members

Compensation

• Estimated base: $120,357 per year (estimated). Exact compensation will depend on experience, skills, and location.
